The Civic Arts Plaza, which houses the Scherr Forum Theater, was first built in 1927 as an animal training facility. It later changed into a center for arts entertainment in the area. The Scherr Forum Theater seating ranges from 278 to 394 and covers some 22,000 square feet. There is no dress code at the theater.
Cell phones, pagers, alarm watches, smoking, photography, audio recording and video recording are now allowed during the performance. Children of most ages are welcome, but all must have their own ticket to attend regardless of age. Bringing small children is not recommended as it can disrupt the show. Infants in arms are not permitted.
