Built by Warren & Wetmore, the St. James Theatre was completed in 1927. Since then, the theatre has hosted a plethora of historic shows. Classics like Oklahoma were prominent in the 1940s and these days the theatre features Toni Award-winning productions such as Gypsy. Stars like Glenn Close and Albert Finney have graced the stage at the St. James Theatre.
There is no smoking permitted in the St. James Theatre. Doors open 45 minutes before show time; it#25;s recommended that patrons arrive at least 15 minutes prior to curtain. If a show is sold-out, a very limited number of day-of-performance tickets may get released for sale (at the box office only) right before show time. No food of any kind is permitted in this venue, though beverages are available for sale.
