Eugene#25;s John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts is a performing arts company and community music school that features three different venues for performances and several other performance areas. The Shedd Institute began as the Oregon Festival of American Music in 1991, and the Shedd currently sits at the corner of Broadway and High Streets in downtown Eugene, featuring the 816-seat Jaqua Concert Hall and 175-seat Recital Hall.
The 65,000-square-foot John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts is located in the former First Baptist Church in downtown Eugene, and the venue#25;s Ticket Office is open Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is closed Saturday and Sunday.
