The UNC Memorial Hall is located in the heart of the University#25;s historic campus and has hosted world-renowned performers and elegant ceremonies throughout a long and varied history. The building serves as a memorial to those who lost their lives in the line of duty. In 1931 the building first opened, but went under re-construction in 2002. It re-opened in 2005.
There are many new and improved features of the UNC Memorial Hall, including: comfortable new seats with more leg room, air conditioning, more restroom facilities, better sightlines, improved handicapped accessibility, state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, refurbished chandeliers and ornate fixtures, a new orchestra pit and hydraulic stage life and large stage house and dressing rooms.
