The Whisky A Go-Go opened in 1964 and has since played host to some of rock and rolls most prominent acts, including the Doors, Janis Joplin and Led Zeppelin, and more recently become a great a place for new acts to be discovered. At the Whisky live recordings are always famous for those who get a chance to perform at the venue, including those who were discovered there like Otis Redding, the Who, Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Black Sabbath.
