Originally built in 1927, the Villanova Stadium is based on the campus of Villanova University in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania.
In 1930 the playing field was dedicated to honor Leo J. Francis Goodreau, a football player who passed away because of injuries
he sustained at practice. The running track is named Jumbo Elliott Track, honoring Villanova's notable track and field coach,
James "Jumbo" Elliott. The stadium underwent a renovation in 1999, which included additions of a press box and an 80-person
capacity meeting room for athletic department use. In 2002, the Astro Turf playing field was replaced with Astro Play, a
