know that Howie Long played his collegiate football for the Wildcats?
Before heading out to dominate for the Los Angeles
Raiders on the defensive line in the NFL, Howie Long was an absolute start at the University of Villanova. But even though
Long was a clear standout at Villanova, he ended up slipping all the way to the second round and the 48th overall pick in
the 1981 NFL draft, which is something regretted by the teams responsible for the first 47 picks. Long would go on to be an
eight-time Pro Bowl star in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl in 1984 and eventually being elected into the Pro Football Hall
