About Wallflowers

The Wallflowers got their start in the music business during the late 80s, and they began playing at local Los Angeles venues and clubs. By 1992, they were ready to release their self-titled debut album, which included songs like "For the Life of Me" and "Another One in the Dark." After establishing themselves on the scene, the Wallflowers headed back to the studio to begin recording their next album. In 1996, the band released "Bringing Down the Horse," which was met with huge success. "Bringing Down the Horse" produced famous hits like "6th Avenue Heartache," "One Headlight," "Three Marlenas," and "The Difference." Because of this album, the Wallflowers became one of the biggest musical acts of the time, dominating the airwaves and MTV with their music. In fact, at the Grammy Awards, the Wallflowers ended up winning a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for their song, "One Headlight," and lead singer and songwriter Jakob Dylan won in the Best Rock Song category.

Several years later, the Wallflowers released their next album, "(Breach)," which received positive reviews in the press and reached the number 13 position on the Billboard 200. Trailing on the success of their last album, "(Breach)" was also a success and was eventually certified gold. Throughout the years to come, the Wallflowers continued to release several more successful albums, including "Red Letter Days" in 2002, "Rebel, Sweetheart" in 2005, and even a greatest hits album, which included two previously unreleased tracks.

When it comes to alternative rock music, it's no surprise that the Wallflowers absolutely dominated the scene during their prime. After years of churning out great hits and albums, it appears the Wallflowers are better than ever, and you will definitely want to check out a show when they perform at a venue near you.

Wallflowers' Breakthrough Album

After releasing their debut album in the early 90s, the Wallflowers started to gain a following in the alternative rock scene. However, it was their 1996 album, "Bringing Down the Horse," that really catapulted this band to fame. With its unforgettable hits like "One Headlight," "The Difference," "Three Marlenas," and "6th Avenue Heartache," fans couldn't get enough of the Wallflowers' catchy tunes, and the album went several times platinum. It was eventually listed as one of the top albums of the 90s by Billboard magazine. The album also spawned a popular music video for the song "One Headlight," which was the number 5 video on MTV and the number 1 video on VH1 during 1997. The massive success of "Bringing Down the Horse" helped pave the way for the Wallflowers' future success, and the band still continues to tour, bringing their amazing music to fans all over.
