during the beginning of the first World War when Albert's father (Ted) purchases Joey, the horse, at auction by outbidding
his brother Arthur. Albert's mother, Rose, being very displeased about the purchase, demands they sell the horse. Albert agrees
to raise the horse until he is ready to be sold. After much hard work, the horse was trained and Albert had formed a bond
