a progressive-thinking group from the beginning. In a time when race relations weren't great, the band brought together a
multi-ethnic lineup to create music that has stood the test of time. Not only did the band push the envelope with their multi-cultural
band members, but they also spoke out against political practices and injustices happening at the time. But despite their
socio-political lyrics, their music was laid back and made listeners feel like they were on a slow ride.
War got started in Long Beach, Calif. in 1969 and the band quickly made a name for itself with its signature
fusion of funk, rock, reggae and jazz tunes. The 1970s brought even more success for War. The band stood out from the crowd
right from the beginning with their fresh take on reggae-infused, blues rock and their ethnically diverse band membership.
Lyrics were often socio-political in nature and had a laid back, California funk vibe that spoke to fans across the country.
They hit it big in the early 1970s with the release of The World is Ghetto. It hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts and was Billboard
magazine's Album of the year in 1973.
They continued to churn out hits during the 1970s, including "Summer," which went
gold and peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard chart. They continued to surprise and delight their fans when they released the
jazz album, Platinum Jazz and their Star Wars-inspired album, Galaxy. As the group rocked into the 80s, they focused on a
series of albums that were unlike anything they'd played before. The group made several personnel changes throughout the next
few years, but managed to hold on to their audience and their top spot on the Billboard charts.
Since then, the band
has continued to cement its iconic status topping the charts and gaining new fans with every performance. They have continued
to have success throughout the last two decades, and even though they were apart for several years, they are back and better
than ever. Don't miss your chance to see this one-of-a-kind band in person! Buy your War tickets from StubHub, and be there

War was the brainchild of producer Jerry Goldstein
who created hits like "My Boyfriend's Back," "Hang on Sloopy" and "I Want Candy" and singer Eric Burdon, who had been the
frontman for the band the Animals. Goldstein happened across a group of musicians who were backing Deacon Jones at the legendary
venue, the Rag Doll in North Hollywood. The musicians told the producer that they weren't just in it for the fame and fortune
of being in the music business. They wanted to promote brotherhood and harmony with their instruments and speak out against
injustice like racism, hunger, crime and gangs. The band teamed up with Eric Burdon and War was born. Their debut album, Eric
Burdon Declares "War," was an enormous hit and helped launch the band's career. The single "Spill the Wine," became their
biggest hit from that first album, and set the tone for future success. They still know how to leave a crowd speechless, and
