Born in Long Beach, California as Warren Griffin III, the aspiring rapper absorbed all the music he could find, including
jazz, funk and soul. But his true love was hip-hop, and in 1990, he formed his first group with Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg called
213, named after his hometown area code. Warren G maintained a full-time job while rapping with his first group, and continued
to work on his solo career as well. When the band dissolved, Warren G began working even harder on making a name for himself.
He was featured on albums by famed rappers MC Breed, 2Pac and Mista Grimm, which gave him his big break. He released his first
solo album, "Regulate," in 1994, that hit the charts as a Top 20 hit. He then began cultivating a career that would include
a number of solo albums, collaborations with top rappers, and musical work for TV and film. This experienced and talented
rapper has made his mark on the hip-hop world and the world of music in general. And he still maintains his top-notch rapping
abilities. So, buy your Warren G tickets from
StubHub to see this rap legend in person!
Warren G's talent on the mic is incomparable and continues to be an inspiration to up-and-coming rappers. The artist even
acted as a mentor on the show Celebrity Rap Superstar to help wannabe rappers hone their skills and make it as solo artists.
Not only are his skills to inspire top-notch, but his skilled songwriting abilities have never wavered. Every album has been
positively received and played well across the nation. Unlike many other rappers of today, Warren G puts his heart and soul
into every lyric and every rhyme. When his childhood friend and musical collaborator, Nate Dogg, died in March of 2011, the
rapper wrote a song called "This Is Dedicated to You" that spoke about the love he had for his friend. With so much talent
and emotion behind every lyric, it's not surprising that Warren G is such a sought-after performer. Check StubHub for Warren
