Washington Nationals Playoffs

When the Nationals take to the diamond, the nation's capital stops and pays attention, and that's because this is a team that is always absolutely loaded with talented players who can do a little bit of everything. Come out and see all of the towering homers, sensational catches and nail-biting moments that will have you jumping out of your seat on a regular basis this season as the Nationals hope to pile up the wins in the N.L. East and take another swing at the postseason. As soon as you're there watching the big game the way it was meant to be seen, you'll understand loud and clear what all the buzz is about surrounding the Nationals.

There is nothing quite like being there when the Nats take to the field for a highly anticipated game, and it doesn't get any better than seeing them during the playoffs when the stakes couldn't be any higher. The Nats are always in the middle of one exciting match-up or another, and seeing playoff baseball is the cream of the crop if you're a fan of America's Pastime. With the Nats gearing up to make a run at the franchise's first Fall Classic, you can count on the fans to be hopping all year long.

The Experience

As baseball has gotten more and more global, Major League Baseball remains the premier league, which is something you'll see for yourself if you get out to a great game loaded with the stars of both today and tomorrow. There is something special about being in the stands when your favorite team storms the diamond, though that's something that you have to see for yourself. Baseball has gained the reputation as America's Pastime for a reason, and it isn't because there is a lack of excitement from game to game. As fans already know, it all really comes together in the postseason, making playoff baseball something that every baseball lover needs to be a part of sooner or later.

The Team

With star outfielder Bryce Harper, sensational hurler Stephen Strasburg and talented infielder Ryan Zimmerman, the Nats have one of those well-rounded teams brimming over with talent, making them as dangerous as ever as they hope to navigate the always competitive N.L. East. The end goal, of course, is to make it all the way back to the postseason, giving fans plenty of reasons for optimism as this star-studded team rounds into form and takes a swing at putting together another season that ends in the playoffs. As soon as you're there watching the Nats dig in against a prominent foe, it will be pretty obvious why there is no duplicating the stadium experience.

Washington Nationals Trivia

Did you know that Vlad Guerrero holds the all-time franchise record for highest batting average?

When Bad Vlad was playing in Montreal for the Expos, the franchise that would become the Nationals, Guerrero was an absolute terror in the batter's box, particularly in 2000. That year, Guerrero didn't need batting gloves to set franchise records for batting average (.345), slugging percentage (.664) and runs created (154), cementing him as one of the best players to ever hit for this franchise. Guerrero would then move on to L.A. eventually after blazing a trail to the top of the Expos' record books in many different categories, and in the new city it was more of the same for one of the best right-handed sluggers of his generation.

Washington Nationals History

It didn't take long for Nationals fans get a taste for what a winning team looks like, as they piled up the wins in 2012 and made their first trip to the postseason, giving fans a taste of what it's like to chase a World Series ring. Before they were the Nats, this franchise had a nice history in Montreal, with players like Vlad Guerrero, Pedro Martinez and many more dominating for the franchise. In D.C., the Nats haven't had too much of a chance to build a playoff history, but fans have gotten an early taste of what it's like and this talented squad is sure to be there plenty of times moving forward.

The Fans

Nationals Park is just one of those places that you have to get to once in a while if you're a Nats fan, though you're missing out if you haven't yet been there for a postseason game. Come out and see all of the skyscraping homers, highlight-reel defensive plays and nail-biting moments that will have you on your feet in no time. Will you be there when your favorite player strolls to the plate with the game on the line in the late-innings of a game that has all the makings of a classic? We know that you can just stay at home and let the broadcaster explain to you what the atmosphere of the big game is like, but it's a completely different to actually be there watching the playoff drama unfold.
