Washington Redskins Schedule

Washington Redskins Schedule - Redskins Schedule

Washington Redskins Schedule in 2014

The Washington Redskins are looking to rise in the ranks of the NFC this season, and they're going to have to take down some formidable opponents to get the job done. The Redskins face a big game on September 21st when they head to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. The Eagles were able to win the NFC East title last season, and the 'Skins would love to knock them off in their first meeting of the season to make a statement.

On October 6th the Redskins will host the Seattle Seahawks, who were able to win the Super Bowl last season. Seattle will bring with them one of the top defensive units in the entire National Football League, so it will be key for RGIII and the rest of the Washington offense to execute efficiently. If the Redskins can get a win against the reigning champs in front of their home crowd it will be huge.

October 27th will bring another big game when the Redskins head out to play the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys and Redskins have a great rivalry that goes back a long way, and both teams will be giving it everything they've got in this contest. RGIII will be looking to explode for a huge game against this division rival. Be sure to take a good look at the rest of the schedule as well.

Washington Redskins Team Info

The Washington Redskins did not have a great year in 2013, as they struggled to get wins in and out of the division. The NFC East is often one of the more competitive division in the National Football League, so the Skins are going to have to elevate their level of play if they want to contend for the top spot in the division standings in 2014. The Redskins are looking for a big season from quarterback Robert Griffin III, who had a fantastic rookie campaign in 2012 and a bit of a sophomore slump last year. However, there is speculation that RGIII was never fully healthy last season and could be in for a bounce back performance in 2014. Griffin has some nice weapons at his disposal, and the offense should be a formidable unit this season. However, the Redskins' biggest weakness last season was their defense, a unit that needs to improve this year if the team is going to have a shot at the postseason.

Fan Experience

The Redskins are one of the more popular teams in the National Football League and boast a fan base that spans the entire nation, making Washington one of the premier franchises in all of sports. There has never been a better time to head to the stadium for a contest packed to the brim with explosive playmakers that know how to put on a show. Tickets to the Eagles-Redskins matchup are typically some of the most sought-after of the year, but the rest of the schedule isn't exactly lacking in exciting matchups with star-studded teams. Don't even think about being left out of the action this season. Seeing an NFL game in person is simply the best experience in all of sports. There is nothing close to actually being there in the stands with your fellow fans when your favorite team storms the gridiron for an exciting matchup, though that's something that you have to see first-hand to truly appreciate. Be there for all of the highlight-reel action as the NFL brings together some of the most explosive athletes on the planet once again this season. The Redskins will be giving fans plenty of opportunities to get out and show their team passion as they look to pile up the wins and make a big move up the NFC East standings. Will you be there when your favorite player make the game-winning play that has the entire place rocking?

Washington Redskins Trivia

How did the Washington Redskins acquire running back Alfred Morris?

The answer is by selecting him in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Morris quickly climbed the Washington depth chart in the backfield and found himself as the starter as a rookie on opening day. Since then Morris has consistently produced, and is probably one of the more underrated runners in the National Football League.

Washington Redskins History

The Washington Redskins first took to the gridiron back in 1932 when they were known as the Boston Braves. The team changed their name to the Redskins one year later and moved to the nation's capital later in the decade. The Redskins have won three Super Bowls over the course of their illustrious history, sitting atop of the National Football League in 1982, 1987 and 1991. Washington is looking to recapture the Vince Lombardi Trophy as soon as this season, and the fans of this team are ready to support them all year long.
