The Washington Redskins - Schedule in 2014

The Redskins may have just finished a difficult season, but come September everyone is 0-0. One thing you can bank on is there being plenty of amazing matchups during the Washington Redskins 2014 season, as they'll take on all the other top teams in the NFC East – like the Cowboys, Giants and Eagles – as well as plenty of other teams around the league including the World Champion Seattle Seahawks. And that tends to bring together plenty of unbelievable talent for exciting matchups that are sure to be filled to the brim with twists, turns and nail-biting moments as the Redskins look to light up the scoreboard and put together another intense season that will have fans buzzing all over town. It's never easy in one of the toughest divisions in football, but the Redskins definitely are not lacking in talent.

FedEx Field is certain to be absolutely hopping with great fans that know how to show their support, but you can't just take our word for it. Sure, there are plenty of ways to watch the Redskins this season, though there's only one way to actually be a part of the intensity as the buzz of the crowd reaches incredible levels during the season. Last year, the Redskins didn't get to the level that they had hoped after a dramatic run to the playoffs in 2012, but they have another talented squad led by Robert Griffin III, and the expectations are once again sky high.

The Team

Thanks to another roster busting with playmakers, the playoffs could become a routine thing once again for the Redskins and their fans, though RG3 and company are looking to do more than just make it to the postseason. There is a new coach in place in highly-respected Jay Gruden and a new energy with this historic franchise. Come out and see the Redskins in action as they look to pile up the wins and give their fans another amazing season as they challenge all the top teams in the NFC East. This is a team that can do a little bit of everything on both sides of the ball, which is why there is never a lacking in excitement around this team as they look to take the next step to get back into the playoff mix. With a top-tier passing attack, a punishing ground game and some defensive playmakers who can turn the ball over with the best of them, anything can happen for the Redskins in 2014.

The Experience

There is nothing better than seeing a sporting event live and in person. Sports have been a part of cultures around the world for a very long time, and spectators have always enjoyed watching athletes compete at the highest of levels. When you're there in the stands at a sporting event like this one, you're treated to seeing some of the most talented athletes in the entire world going head to head with everything on the line. There's nothing that compares to the atmosphere at a game, where you're surrounded by fans that are all there to enjoy a great spectacle of sport.

The National Football League is the premier sports league in the United States of America for a reason, as it boasts some of the most incredible athletes known to man. With quarterbacks that can put the ball anywhere on the field, running backs that can make a move to avoid a defender and be on a breakaway for the end zone in no time, receivers that routinely make highlight reel catches and defensive players that put some of the hardest hits on opponents game in and game out, the NFL is simply the cream of the crop when it comes to a sports-watching experience.

Trivia

Do you know that Joe Theismann won the last league MVP award wearing the Redskins uniform?

Back in 1983, nobody could stop Theismann and the Redskins, as the famed quarterback roasted the league and showed that he could do a little bit of everything on the football field. That year, Theismann set several passing records for the franchise and led the team to their second consecutive Super Bowl appearance, giving their fans some big-time thrills in the process and cementing his legacy as one of the all-time greats in Redskins history.

History

Washington Redskin tickets have been available since 1937, when the team moved over from Boston and established a top-tier franchise that has been one of the staples of the community ever since. The Skins won the NFL championship in their first season in Washington D.C., and they've won several additional championships since, with all-time greats like Sammy Baugh, Bobby Mitchell, Charley Taylor, Art Monk and many others.

But even though they've had plenty of individual talents, they also are known for having some of the most dominant teams in the history of the game. In the 1982 season, the Redskins captured their first Super Bowl win – though they already won a couple in the pre AFL/NFL merger – and they followed it up by doing it once again following the 1987 season. They weren't done, however, as the Redskins once again dominated the league and pulled down the championship following the '91 season, with a team that had some of the Buffalo Bills grumbling about the 'Skins being the most dominant team they ever played.
