Washington Redskins Schedule

The Washington Redskins are ready to hit the field this season and battle it out with some of the best teams in the National Football League. The Redskins look to have a solid roster that should be able to compete with some of the top teams in the league. Washington calls the NFC East home, and that division has been known to be one of the most competitive in the NFL. The Redskins have a lot of tough home games on their hands this season, such as their September 25th matchup with the New York Giants. The Giants are a division rival that features a two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback in Eli Manning. Manning did not have the greatest year of his career in 2013, but he'll surely be looking to bounce back this season. The Redskins will have to slow down the New York passing attack and hope to get their own aerial assault going with new weapon DeSean Jackson. The Skins would love to get a big win against the G-Men in front of their home fans early in the season.

October 6th will bring one of the toughest matchups on the Washington schedule when the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks come to the nation's capital to do battle with the Redskins. The Seahawks will bring with them one of the best defenses in the National Football League, one that embarrassed one of the best offensive units of all time in the Super Bowl last season when they stifled the Denver Broncos. The Redskins will need Robert Griffin III to play conservative football against the Seahawks or their opponent could make them pay for their mistakes.

On December 20th the Philadelphia Eagles will take to the field at FedEx in what could be a huge game. The Eagles won the NFC East last season, and they're sure to be a tough team again in 2014. The Redskins would love to knock them off in this contest, and it could have major implications in the divisional standings. There are some other great home games at FedEx Field this season, and you can be there to see them all play out right before your eyes.

Washington Redskins Team Info

The Washington Redskins have high hopes this season, as they've got a roster loaded with talent that could make some serious noise in the NFC East. Much of the season rests on the shoulders of quarterback Robert Griffin III. Griffin had a spectacular rookie season in 2012 but he got banged up and was bit off last season. Griffin is looking to rebound in 2014 and put up some big numbers that result in Washington victories. The Redskins went out and got RGIII a new deep threat to throw to in DeSean Jackson, who has blistering speed and can score a touchdown any time he touches the ball. Alongside Pierre Garcon and emerging tight end Jordan Reed, this Washington passing attack looks more dangerous than ever.

The Skins know that they have a reliable ground game with running back Alfred Morris toting the rock, and new head coach Jay Gruden has talked about running the ball quite a bit in the offseason. If the Washington defense can hold up consistently for a full four quarters. This could be a banner season for the Redskins, one that may just result in an NFC East title. Fans will pack into the stadium to see this team in action, and you can be one of them.

Fan Experience

There is nothing better than seeing a sporting event live and in person. Sports have been a part of cultures around the world for a very long time, and spectators have always enjoyed watching athletes compete at the highest of levels. When you're there in the stands at a sporting event like this one, you're treated to seeing some of the most talented athletes in the entire world going head to head with everything on the line. There's nothing that compares to the atmosphere at a game, where you're surrounded by fans that are all there to enjoy a great spectacle of sport.

The National Football League is the premier sports league in the United States of America for a reason, as it boasts some of the most incredible athletes known to man. With quarterbacks that can put the ball anywhere on the field, running backs that can make a move to avoid a defender and be on a breakaway for the end zone in no time, receivers that routinely make highlight reel catches and defensive players that put some of the hardest hits on opponents game in and game out, the NFL is simply the cream of the crop when it comes to a sports-watching experience.

Washington Redskins Trivia

In 2004 the Washington Redskins traded away cornerback Champ Bailey in a blockbuster deal with the Denver Broncos. What player did the Redskins acquire in the deal?

The answer is running back Clinton Portis, who was the Redskins' featured running back for several seasons.

Washington Redskins History

Washington Redskin tickets have been available since 1937, when the team moved over from Boston and established a top-tier franchise that has been one of the staples of the community ever since. The Skins won the NFL championship in their first season in Washington D.C., and they've won several additional championships since, with all-time greats like Sammy Baugh, Bobby Mitchell, Charley Taylor, Art Monk and many others.

But even though they've had plenty of individual talents, they also are known for having some of the most dominant teams in the history of the game. In the 1982 season, the Redskins captured their first Super Bowl win – though they already won a couple in the pre-AFL/NFL merger – and they followed it up by doing it once again following the 1987 season. They weren't done, however, as the Redskins once again dominated the league and pulled down the championship following the '91 season, with a team that had some of the Buffalo Bills grumbling about the 'Skins being the most dominant team they ever played.
