        Wayne Shorter was born on August 25, 2005 in Newark, New Jersey. He first picked up the clarinet before switching to the tenor sax in high school. While still in his teams, he was getting recognition by some of the jazz greats. He continued to perform through college before being drafted by the Army. After leaving the military, he went on to play with some of the best musicians out there like John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock and Max Roach.
