About We Came As Romans
Came As Romans is an American band that was formed in Troy, Michigan in 2005. At the time, the members were all attending
high school. During the early years of the band, the members consisted of Sean N. Zelda, Dave Stephens, Jonny Nabors, Mark
Myatt and Joshua Moore. Initially, the band did not refer to itself as We Came As Romans, but instead, they were called This
Emergency. The band played many shows around Detroit, Michigan, but eventually the members went separate ways. The bass player
left and was replace Sean E. Daly and then Sean N. Zelda left the band to pursue his studies at the University of Michigan.
A new vocalist, Larry Clark, was asked to join the band. While Larry Clark was the singer, two singles were released: "Mouth
to Mouth" and the original version of "Colours." Joshua Moore started to take on the role of songwriter and continued to do
so. In 2008, the band decided to change its name to We Came As Romans from This Emergency. After having changed its name,
We Came As Romans debuted its first EP, Demonstrations. Many have shortened the name to refer to the album as the Motions
EP. This album was sold online and at concerts. We Came As Romans toured with the band Close to Home, prior to releases its
second EP album, Dreams. The second EP received accolades. The EP was not long, but it did give everyone a good taste of what
We Came As Romans has to offer. The first full-length album was called To Plant a Seed came out in 2009.
As Romans Breakthrough
In terms of first albums, To Plant a Seed was quite successful. It debuted on the Billboard
charts, which reached the number six position on the Top Heatseekers. In addition, it reached the number 25 spot on the Top
Independent chart and the number 175 position on the Top 200 chart. Before and after the success of To Plant a Seed, We Came
As Romans has been busy touring as a headliner and supporting band. The next album, Understanding What We've Grown To Be,
was released in 2011. iTunes released a special version of the album that included live tracks from a gig in Sydney, Australia.
The first single, "Understanding What We've Grown To Be," was released on YouTube and were bundled together with other songs
for presale on iTunes. Following the release of the album Understanding What We've Grown To Be, the band kept up with its
impressive touring schedule. In 2013, Tracing Back Root was released. We Came As Romans were lucky to work with a renowned
Producer, John Feldmann. According to Feldmann, "We Came As Romans push the boundaries of what modern alternative music should
be, while staying authentic to their roots. Once of the few new bands to keep true to their vision while developing as artists."
The key releases from this album include: "Hope," "Fade Away," "Tracing Back Roots," and "Ghosts." The current lineup of the
band is Kyle Pavone (vocals, keyboards, synthesizers), Dave Stephens (vocals), Joshua Moore (lead guitar), Lou Cotton (rhythm
guitar), Eric Choi (drums) and Andy Glass (bass guitar).

Cole Dabney received
a Music Video Director's Association Award for "Best Live Performance/Tour Video" for having directed the video for the song,
"A War Inside." The members of the band have had side projects during the years touring and playing with We Came As Romans.
Kyle Pavone was playing dubstep and more dance-style music under the name Titus.

The live show experience for fans is one of a lot of energy. We Came As Romans started off at a spritely
age and have kept up the enthusiasm for playing live shows since its founding in 2005. According to We Came As Romans, "Though
we've grown as individuals, musicians, and as band over the years, we have never changed the meaning behind what our band
is, and if anything, on this record we found greater meaning and purpose in the message we are trying to send to listeners."
