Broadway tickets are available for the opening of The Wedding Singer at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre this spring. Another version of the play opened in Seattle in January of 2006, and judging by the demand shown for theater tickets to that show, Wedding Singer tickets on Broadway will be hard to find. Based upon the 1998 mega-hit movie, the show is directed by Tony Award winner John Rando, and it's sure to be a delightful addition to the Broadway tickets market.
The play is set in 1985, and the main character, Robbie Hart, is the biggest "star" on the New Jersey wedding singer circuit. However, once his own wedding is ruined, he treats every performance with the same sadness he encountered by being left at the altar. This attitude persists until a new love comes onto the scene and changes Robbie's outlook. These theater tickets will bring you back to a different time, and the actors will have you thinking that you've traveled back in time.
