Perhaps even a story like Wicked, which takes the characters of the Wizard of Oz and explains a back story that you may not have known from this world in a book and recreated it to give you a fresh story about a setting you know and love! Wicked Sacramento Cast

A show like Wicked needs a strong cast to be believable, as so many fans are familiar with the portrayals of the original characters from The Wizard of Oz film. That's why it was so important for the director to get actors like Alison Luff, Gina Beck, Alison Fraser, Tim Kazurinsky, Nick Adams, to be brought out from their respective performances to come together and play the roles in Wicked. There were some minor switches during the second national tour of the cast and those included such famed stage actors as Jennifer DiNoia, Hayley Podschun, and Kathy Fitzgerald. Don't miss this exciting show, get your tickets today!

Wicked Sacramento Author

Though the original book The Wizard of Oz was written by L. Frank Baum, Wicked is based on the book Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. The music and lyrics for the show, however, were created by Stephen Schwartz, while the book for the show was written by Winnie Holzman. L. Frank Baum never really got as in-depth into the background of the other characters as many would have liked, and that's why it was up to Gregory Maguire's attention to detail to be able to fill in the back story on these important characters. Don't miss out on your chance to see this show!
