Wilco Tickets

Wilco tickets - Wilco Tour

Wilco Concert Schedule

After the roots rock band Uncle Tupelo disbanded in 1994, the experimental neo-country outfit Wilco emerged from its ashes. The dynamic musical partnership of Jay Farrar and Jeff Tweedy broke off once Uncle Tupelo disbanded, but Jeff Tweedy went on to form the incredibly popular and unique band Wilco, which has been wowing fans with its diverse songs and fun live performances for over almost two decades. While Wilco first started out experimenting with country music, the band has evolved over the years into an alternative rock band that brings in indie, folk, and country influences, making Wilco one of the most interesting bands around.

Wilco fans are known for traveling far and wide to see their favorite band perform in concert, and Wilco's upcoming shows already have their fans buzzing with excitement! On September 3rd, Wilco will be performing at the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in Columbus and on September 4th they will be playing at the Akron Civic Theatre. These back-to-back shows in Ohio have been at the forefront of Wilco fans' minds for a while now, but you still have a chance to secure your Wilco tickets before they're all gone!

Wilco Background

After Jay Farrar left Uncle Tupelo, the remaining members formed Wilco and kept Jeff Tweedy as the band's frontman. On November 17, 1994, Wilco made its performing debut in St. Louis, Missouri, the first performance of a long and successful performing career. Shortly thereafter, the band embarked on a 200-date tour, and music fans all across North America started to fall in love with the band's experimental alternative country sound. This tour launched Wilco into the music spotlight, where they have remained ever since. Rolling Stone Magazine has even called Wilco "one of America's most consistently interesting bands" and has also praised them continuously for being "America's foremost rock impressionists".

For the past couple of decades, Wilco has made such a lasting impression on the modern music scene that some of the biggest names in music have covered their songs. Artists like Norah Jones, The Counting Crows, the Wallflowers, and Widespread Panic have all performed original songs by Wilco, further cementing this roots-rock band's place in music history. Wilco's current band lineup has remained unchanged for the past decade and consists of Jeff Tweedy, John Stirratt, Glenn Kotche, Mikael Jorgensen, Nels Cline, and Pat Sanson. These talented musicians have been rocking out on stages for several decades, and their combined expertise makes them one of the most experienced bands in the world.

As Wilco steps out on stage in Ohio this September, make sure that you and your friends are in the audience so that you can witness one of the most fun and interesting American bands around. With their eclectic sound and reputation for putting on incredibly entertaining shows, there's no doubt that Wilco will blow you away at one of their upcoming concerts. Don't miss out and secure your Wilco tickets on StubHub before the opportunity passes you by.

Greatest Hits

Since forming in 1994, Wilco has released eight studio albums, three live albums, five extended plays, and eight singles. The band has collaborated with artists like Billy Bragg, The Minus 5, and 7 Worlds Collide to create some incredible music, and their original albums have sold millions of copies around the world. Wilco's most successful album to date is Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (2002), which has sold well over 600,000 copies and has been certified gold in the U.S.

The band decided on the name "Wilco" after the military and radio voice abbreviation for "will comply", which Jeff Tweedy has admitted is an ironic name for the band.
