Winger released its first album in 1988 under Atlantic
Records, and it became an instant success. The self-titled album quickly climbed toward the top of music charts around the
world, and it achieved platinum certification in the U.S., as well as gold status in Canada and Japan. Some of the most notable
songs from the album include "Seventeen", "Headed for a Heartbreak", "Madalaine", and "Hungry". The phenomenal success of
the first album and the band's reputation as incredible live performers led to their American Music Award nomination for "Best
New Heavy Metal Band". Their next album was just as successful, as In the Heart of the Young spawned off some of the band's
biggest hits, such as "Easy Come Easy Go", "Can't Get Enuff", and "Miles Away".
Winger went on to tour with some of
the biggest bands in the world, such as Kiss, ZZ Top, Slaughter, and Scorpions. Winger had quickly become one of the biggest

mid-1990s welcomed in grunge music, and the melodic pop-metal genre that Winger had rocked faded into the background. Due
to this, Winger disbanded in 1994, much to the dismay of their fans.
In the early 2000s, the band briefly reunited for
