Baithlon describes a sporting event that is made up of two different disciplines, with winter sports that include cross
country skiing and rifle shooting. The sport was originally known as the first ski club and was formed as an exercise for
Norwegian soldiers. The event first debuted at the 1960 Winter Games in Squaw Valley with the men's 20 km individual event,
and has continued to grow since.
As a growing sport, having only first appeared in the 1960 Winter Games with women's biathlon at the 1992 Winter Games
in Albertville, the sport is still relatively unknown to many viewers. Still, the sport remains a heavily heated event with
