Bobsled is a winter sport that was first invented by the Englishmen in 1860. The sport involves teams, inside a bobsled,
shooting down a narrow, twisted embankment of ice. The four man competition has competed in every game since first becoming
part of the Winter Games in 1924, with the exception of 1960's Squaw Valley games when expenses didn't allow for a track,
and in 1932 the two man event was introduced.
If you are willing to wait out in the freezing cold to momentarily see a slick metal machine glide past you, then you
better hurry up and get your Winter Games Bobsleigh tickets now! This event
is always a favorite at the Winter Games and will surely continue to be as more variety keeps getting added, like with the
2002 Winter Games allowing a two woman event to become part of the ceremony. So enjoy!
