The WIRK Rib Roundup Country
Music Festival is an annual day-long event that attracts thousands of music fans and foodies from around the country. Sponsored
by South Florida country music station WIRK, this West Palm Beach festival features a roster of premier country music performers,
as well as stellar up-and-coming acts that are just starting to get national attention. In addition, you'll find a huge variety
of food vendors offering the best barbecued ribs in town, plus loads of other tasty goodies.
Bands and Performers
At the 2014 festival, expect a good mix of bands and singers. Country singer Scotty McCreery and singer/songwriter Easton
Corbin will be peformings. Nashville=based country rock group Blacjack Billy (featuring guitarist/vocalist Rob Blackledge,
vocalist Noll Billings, electric guitarist Jeff Coplan, bassist Patrick Cornell and drummer Brad Cummings), The Band Perry
(featuring pianist/guitarist/vocalist Kimberly Perry, bassist/vocalist Reid Perry and drummer/mandolinist/accordionist Neil
Perry), and Country duo Dan + Shay (featuring Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney) will also be taking the stage this year.
Scott McCreery had his breakthrough moment when he won the 10th season of "American Idol" in 2011, in front of an
international audience. Blackjack Billy's breakthrough came with their debut single, "The Booze Cruise," which was released
in March 2013. The song was played constantly on Sirius XM Radio, bringing immediate fame to the group. The Band Perry had
their breakthrough with the release of their first single, "Hip to My Heart" (2009), which made it to No. 20 on the country
charts. Easton Corbin's biggest break came with the release of his self-titled album in 2010. Dan + Shay's breakthrough came
with their debut single, "19 You + Me" (2013), which garnered major airplay in the U.S.
debut album "Clear as Day" reached platinum in the U.S. and features several Top 20 songs, including "I Love You This Big."
Blackjack Billy doens't have an official studio album, but their debut single "The Booze Cruise" was listed as the biggest-selling
independent release on iTunes in 2013. The Band Perry's single "If I Die Young" from their second album "Pioneer" (2013) reached
No. 1 on US Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. Easton Corbin's "A Little More Country Than That" from his 2010 debut album,
reached No. 1 on the country charts. Another song from the same album, "Roll With It," also hit No. 1 a few months later.
The WIRK Rib Roundup offers a terrific way for folks of all ages to get out and enjoy world-class
entertainment, food and some fabulous Florida sunshine. After all, there's no better way to spend the day than to nibble on
tasty barbecued ribs — while listening to some down-home country music. The family-friendly event has become famous not only
for its barbecued ribs, but also for an exceptional lineup of top-notch country music performers every year. Come with an

South Florida radio station WIRK, which sponsors
the event, has been broadcasting since 1973. In the early years of its broadcasting history, WIRK was sometimes visited on-air
by a variety of country stars, including Archie Campbell (one of the leading actors on "Hee Haw") and singer Red Sovine.
Rib Roundup Country Music Festival takes place once a year during the early spring. The 2014 event was held in March in the
Cruzan Amphitheatre, which is located at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach. If you love barbecue and country
