Who holds the record for most rushing yards in a single game?

The answer of Ron Dayne, the dynamic back who ran wild against Hawaii on Nov. 30, 1996, tallying 339 yards to set the all-time program record. Not only did Dayne dominate in that one game but he also racked up 2,109 yards during the 1996 season – another program record – on his way to winning the Heisman. Dayne would then go on to become the 11th overall draft pick in 2000, playing for the Giants, Broncos and Texans during his NFL career.
