The Women of Brewster Place the musical is based on the Gloria Naylor novel that originally debuted in September 2009
at the Atlanta Alliance Theater. The production features music, lyrics and a book by Drama Desk Award nominee Tim Acito,
with original direction by Arena artistic director Molly Smith. The story follows the same steps as "The Color Purple,"
which also started at Alliance.
