Xfinity Center History
The Xfinity Center was first opened back in 1986 and has served as the site of many a memorable
music show since, making it easily one of the most well-known venues in the Mansfield, Massachusetts area. Over the years,
many of the biggest names in the music business have performed at this outdoor music venue (often numerous times) to the delight
of Massachusetts music fans, including Aerosmith, Avenged Sevenfold, Flyleaf, Gin Blossoms, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, Korn,
Nickelback, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Rush, Stone Sour, The Fray, The Who and Phish. Many of these acts have also featured their Xfinity
Center shows in their music videos, and several live performances have part of feature films, making it the type of venue
