Southern California based blues- rock ensemble Year Long Disaster came out of Daniel Davies, its frontman and guitarist. Though Davies was a recovering addict when formed in the 2000s, when he met fellow recovering addict Rich Mullins the two hit it off and eventually created the '70s inspired outfit by 2004 with Brad Hargreaves as drummer.
If you want to relive the 1970s, then take a listen to these guys - though the group didn't form until the mid '00s, their sound takes a cue from '70s southern rock and blues-rock that allows their sober bodies to create a unique bond with veteran acts and listeners.
