Zappa Plays Zappa is a band that has taken it upon themselves to emulate the work of their legendary rock star father, Frank Zappa, and now provides a new avenue for the next generation of Zappa listeners. After a strenuous road of auditions, Dweezil Zappa, who formed the group, chose Sheila Gonzalez (saxophone, flute, keyboards, vocals), Pete Griffin (bass), Billy Hulting (marimba, mallets, percussion), Jamie Kime (guitar) and Joe Travers (drum) to join him in recreating the Zappa sound.
