in Germany, Anton Zaslavski grew up inspired by his classically trained musician parents. At the tender age of four, he learned
how to play the piano. He expanded his knowledge base of the classical music catalog throughout his youth, sometimes crafting
a song a day. By the time he turned 12, he was playing the drums and shortly after, he was part of Dioramic, a metal/post-hardcore
outfit. In his group's own studio, this virtuoso also produced and penned countless rock tunes. As time rolled on, his knowledge
of other genres grew. He developed a penchant for the electronic music genre in 2009 after he was exposed to Justice, a French
EDM outfit. His musical background and experience groomed him for a smooth transition into the arena of EDM. The year 2009
also proved to be a milestone year for Zedd. Once he decided to dedicate his talents to electronic music, it didn't take long
for his work to be welcomed and praised by fans and critics alike. He even claimed victory in a pair of Beatport remix contests.
These relevant triumphs elevated his reputation, attracting EDM luminaries like Skrillex. In fact, Skrillex discovered Zedd
on social media and inked a deal with Zedd on the OWSLA label. Other high-profile record label execs courted Zedd as well,
and he issued multiple remixes for livewires like P. Diddy, Black Eyed Peas, Swedish House Mafia and Lady Gaga. Zedd continued
to stockpile original production credits, awards and accolades. He was deemed the Artist to Watch for 2012 by Rolling Stone
and earned the same title from MTV in 2013. Zedd continues to be in demand today, playing big-name festivals like Coachella,
Electric Zoo, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra, Nocturnal and Hard Summer.
Zedd first appeared
on national TV in the fall of 2013 when he performed on The Late Show with David Letterman. He stepped outside the box of
his trademark style and did a raw rendition of his tune, "Clarity."
