100 Years of Broadway Tickets
100 Years of Broadway tour dates
Recreating the greatest moments from notable Broadway shows, 100 Years of Broadway is a musical revue touring the United States. Showcasing five Broadway stars and a live band each performance, the show features songs from musicals such as CATS, Jekyll & Hyde, The Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar and Les Miserables. The revue mixes numbers from recent hit shows and Broadway classics. Each show on a 100 Years of Broadway tour stop is unique, depending on performer availability, but pianist Neil Berg keeps the action moving between songs by sharing behind-the-scenes stories and anecdotes of his career working in theater.
100 Years of Broadway's creator
100 Years of Broadway was created and is produced and headlined by Neil Berg. Berg is an American composer/lyricist who has written music for many on- and off-Broadway shows, including The Man Who Would Be King, The Prince and the Pauper, The 12, Tim and Scrooge and Grumpy Old Men: The Musical. In addition to choosing the songs for the revue - and often tailoring them for the current venue and city, Berg plays the piano throughout the show. Accompanying him most shows is his wife, Rita Harvey, who has starred in Fiddler on the Roof and The Phantom of the Opera.
100 Years of Broadway's previous cast
While the five Broadway performers change on a regular basis based on performer scheduling and availability, they are always past cast members of at least one of the Broadway shows included in the revue. Past cast members for the show include such Broadway stars as Betty Buckley (Sunset Boulevard, Pippin, 1776 and Tony Award winner for CATS); Alex Santoriello (Les Miserables, A Tale of Two Cities: The Musical); Ben Vereen (numerous productions, including Wicked, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Fosse and Tony Award winner for Pippin) and Liz Callaway (a frequent Stephen Sondheim collaborator, starred in CATS, Evita, Miss Saigon and The Three Musketeers).
Other previous performers have included Richard Todd Adams (CATS, The Pirate Queen); Danny Zolli (Evita, Sweeney Todd and a record 25 productions of Jesus Christ Superstar) and Jeannette Bayardelle (The 12, Hair and The Color Purple).
