A game of several rounds
The format for A Question of Sport Live revolves around the original TV show, comprising of several rounds where two teams compete for the most points. With former athletes and team captains Phil Tuffnell and Matt Dawson at the helm, Sue Barker present the teams with various rounds that will test their sporting knowledge. The first Picture Board round consists of 12 numbered squares, which reveal a sports person that teams must guess. In the One Minute round, teams are given nine questions to answer in 60 seconds. The Sports Action round features questions about a montage of sporting action, while for the Observation round another sports action is shown and teams are required to answer detailed questions about what they’ve just seen. The popular Mystery Guest round is each team’s opportunity to identify a sports person incognito. Home or Away is a round where teams may answer a ‘home question’ on the sport they participate in, or an ‘away question’ on another sport.
