Akron RubberDucks Tickets
While Akron has been a part of baseball for many years, the city's relationship with the Cleveland Indians dates back to 1997. The first season as the Double-A affiliate for the Indians was abysmal as the team put up a 51-90 record. However, things quickly turned around, and the team has experienced long-term success since. While still known as the Akron Aeros, the team made the playoffs nine times between 1998 and 2013. While the Aeros did fall in the first round of the playoffs twice during that run, they also managed to win four Eastern League Championships while losing three. After 17 seasons as the Aeros, the team rebranded itself as the RubberDucks for the 2014 season. A 2009 fan vote that had kept the team named the Aeros was revisited by the new owner. The RubberDucks was selected based on the city's deep ties to the rubber industry. Since the name change took effect, the team has made three playoff appearances, including a 2016 Eastern League Championship. His first season with the RubberDucks saw Odor put up a 61-79 record while sending five players to the Eastern League All-Star Game.
