Aladdin The Musical Dallas Tickets
Aladdin Dallas TicketsWho can ever forget the music, comedy and adventure of the 1992’s Disney movie, Aladdin? The movie was iconic, and now that the generation who watched it in the theaters has grown up, they can now relive the fun live on stage. Released originally in 2014, the play tells a harrowing and fun story that’s set in the mythical city of Agrabah. The main character is a "street rat" thief that steals to live in a city that often overlooks his inherent decency. Throughout the play, Aladdin meets a few magical and non-magical friends, including the genie that grants him three wishes. The play hits all of the same notes as the original film, but there are a few extra scenes and even a few new characters sprinkled in for a bit of extra fun. The play is now celebrating its fifth year on stage, and it and its cast have been nominated for Tony Awards. In fact, James Monroe Ingelhart, who was the original actor that played the live-action version of Genie, earned the coveted trophy for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.
A Whole New World – On Stage! All modern versions of the show are based on Aladdin and the Magic Lamp from the Middle Eastern swashbuckling tale, One Thousand and One Nights. As a result, the show combines action, raucous comedy, and catchy musical numbers into a two-act performance. Alan Menken, who was responsible for the score of the original film, first alerted theatergoers that he was working on the project back in 2010. To add a bit of uniqueness, he even composed a few extra numbers and included an unused song from the original film entitled, "Proud of Your Boy." The book for the play, which is extensive and walks the audience through the plot, was written by famed adaptation playwright, Chad Beguelin. Those theater lovers that have Aladdin Dallas tickets may recognize the name from other adaptations on Broadway and on tour. These include adaptations like "Elf the Musical" and "The Wedding Singer".

Is the Reprise version of Prince Ali performed? The variation of the song, which is performed by the show’s villain, Jafar, is indeed included in the second act. In fact, since Jonathan Freeman, who played the vizier in the original film, is playing the live-action version of the character, you won’t miss the sneering delivery that made the original performance so iconic.
Are there different characters in the play? While the principals of Aladdin, Genie, and Jasmine are all present, you might notice that the main character’s pet monkey, Abu, is missing.
