The Lehigh County Agricultural Society owns and operates the Allentown Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds' original grandstand was built in 1908. The early Allentown Fairs brought talent shows, horse races, agricultural shows and car races. The Allentown Fairgrounds now host the Allentown Fair, live performances, trade shows and a farmers' market. The farmers' market, adjacent to the grandstand, offers fresh meat, fruit and produce grown locally, organic foods and prepared specialty foods. The grandstand is the largest venue in Allentown Fairgrounds, and it can accommodate 10,000 people. Floor seats are closest to the stage and offer the best view. Risers and handicapped seats are directly behind the floor seats. Most of the seats are grandstand seats. General admission seats are close to the stage but off to the sides of the stage and off to the right of the grandstand seats.
