The Midshipmen men's basketball, women's basketball and wrestling teams of the United States Naval Academy compete at Alumni Hall in Annapolis, Maryland. Alumni Hall's Bob Hope Center for the Performing Arts also hosts a variety of cultural events, such as the Distinguished Artists Series. Groups that have performed during this series include the Warsaw Philharmonic and the Shanghai Ballet. Alumni Hall, which cost $30 million, was completed in 1991. What do I need to bring with me?

In order to be admitted onto the grounds of the Naval Academy, you must present a photo ID. You can use a passport, a driver's license or a state-issued ID. Visitors under 18 years of age don't need a photo ID if they're accompanied by an adult.

Is there on-site parking?

Only those with Department of Defense clearance are allowed to drive onto the grounds of the Naval Academy. All other visitors must park off-site. Paid parking is available at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. For athletic events, a shuttle bus transports visitors to Alumni Hall. The route begins one hour before game time. Visitors may also park in the Noah Hillman Garage and walk onto campus through Gate 1.

Is Alumni Hall accessible by public transportation?

Public buses don't have routes near the pedestrian entrance to the Naval Academy. However, you may be able to take public transportation to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and catch the shuttle to Alumni Hall. The State Shuttle has multiple stops around the football stadium. The Anne Arundel County Gold Route has a stop north of the stadium near the intersection of Taylor Avenue and Rowe Boulevard.

Can you tell me about the food and drink offerings?

During some Alumni Hall events, the venue sells typical stadium concessions, such as pizza and hot dogs. Restaurants in the area around the Naval Academy include Galway Bay, Harry Browne's Restaurant and Preserve.

Are there other entertainment options nearby?

Other athletic facilities at the Naval Academy include the Robert Crown Center for sailing, the Scott Natatorium for water polo and Ingram Field for track and field.

Children may attend sporting events at Alumni Hall. Signing up for the Kidshipmen Club gets kids free admission to one men's basketball game and one women's basketball game. Members also get into all wrestling matches for free.

Is Alumni Hall a wheelchair-friendly facility?
