Ernie Chang plays the saxophone and Shawn Eckels provides both guitar and vocals. Daniel Avila also plays the guitar, while Andee Avila is the band's drummer. Supa Man plays the bass guitar and the most recent addition to the lineup is Matt Owen, who plays the tuba.
Andy Frasco and the UN have some members who interchange with other rock bands in the area around Los Angeles, including the Kris Lager Band and Philosophy of Soul. The group have produced six studio albums to date. The band is popular as a live act and Frasco performs with it as well as doing solo gigs.
Andy Frasco's album releases
Andy Frasco's band have been signed to two different labels since they started performing and writing their own songs. The first three albums were not published by an internationally recognised label.
The first album that Andy Frasco and the UN recorded was Love, You're Just Too Expensive, a 2010 release. This was followed by Road Life Revival in 2012 and Just a Good Ole Time the following year. Each of these works was rocky in outlook but contained many blues traits throughout. Much of the music has a sense of recklessness and some of the established 'rules' of modern rock music were deliberately ignored.
In 2014, Andy Frasco and the UN released Half a Man, a sophisticated collection of songs, which was put out by Fun Machine Records. However, the relationship with the label did not continue for long. By 2016, Frasco was penning songs for the group's next album, which came out on Ruf Records. A follow up, entitled Songs From the Road, saw the light of day in 2017. This was released in a physical form as a CD and DVD set.
