Who is the Arkansas Lady Razorbacks' first superstar?In 1981, Bettye Fiscus blew into town and forever changed the face of Arkansas Razorback ladies basketball. The standout from Wynne, Arkansas, became the Lady Razorback's first All-American and held the Arkansas scoring title for both men and women (2,073) until it was broken by Razorback All-American Todd Day. During her 1981-1985 playing days, she scored an average of 18.3 points per game. Her uniform was retired in 1986. She was also elected to the University of Arkansas Hall of Honor in 2013.
How big is the Bud Walton Arena?The Bud Walton Arena, also known as The Basketball Palace of Mid-America, is a multi-purpose 19,368-seat arena on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Both the men and women's teams use the facility for home games. When the Razorbacks left the now-defunct Southwest Conference, then athletic director Frank Broyles knew the old 9,000-seat Barnhill Arena needed an upgrade. The ground was broken on the $30 million facilities in the spring of 1991.
