During the air show, you’ll see the F-35 in action. It is the Air Force’s most recent fifth-generation fighter. It will take the place of the division’s aging fleet of A-10 Thunderbolt II’s and F-16 Fighting Falcons since they have been in service for more than 20 years. Not only will you have the chance to see some of the country’s top military pilots perform high in the sky, but you will also see tricks from civilian pilots. Along with the F-35 Lightning II, the P-51 Mustang Demo and the L-39 Cold War Era Jet Demo will also be on display. What is there to do at the air show?Air shows feature demonstrations and flybys using aircraft from all eras of flight. How long does the air show last?On Saturday, the flight performance is expected to take place from around 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Sunday, the performance should start around 11:30 a.m. and end around 2:30 p.m. The park gates open each day starting at 10 a.m. to give attendees time to tour the civilian performer aircraft and helicopters that will be on display.
