The tour will feature ‘90s hip-hop and R&B and will include performers like Sean “Diddy” Combs, Lil’ Kim, Mase, French Montana, 112, Faith Evans, Total, the Lox, Carl Thomas and Mario Winans.
In a news statement, Sean Combs said, “"The family and I are so excited to welcome fans into this once in a lifetime experience. This tour is 20 years in the making, and is a celebration of the hits and the Bad Boy lifestyle. The Bad Boy Family has set the standard for concert excellence, and this tour will be a testament to that!"
Bad Boy Records History
Bad Boy Records — or Bad Boy Entertainment, as it is also known — was founded in 1993 by Sean “Diddy” Combs, who had been an A&R executive at Uptown Records. The first song the label released was "Flava in Ya Ear" by Craig Mack. But Bad Boy Records really made its mark with the release of the single and album Ready To Die by the Notorious B.I.G., which went multi-platinum in 1995 and ruled the charts. Biggie's double album Life After Death was released in 1997 after his death and went to number one. It featured the singles "Hypnotize" and "Mo Money, Mo Problems."
That same year, Sean Combs released his own solo album under the name Puff Daddy, which included a tribute song to Biggie, "I'll Be Missing You," with Biggie's widow and Bad Boy Records singer Faith Evans.
Other acts on the Bad Boy Records label included 112, Mase, the LOX, Shyne, French Montana, Machine Gun Kelly, Bow Wow and Danity Kane, who were featured on the show “Making the Band 3.”
