Opened originally in June of 1995, the BB&T Pavilion is an indoor/outdoor theater and amphitheater complex located in the Camden Waterfront entertainment district of Camden, New Jersey, across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. What is the BB&T Pavilion seating capacity?
The BB&T Pavilion can seat 25,488 people during summer months when the lawn area is open. During the fall and winter months, the facility converts to a completely enclosed and climate-controlled theater with a flexible capacity capable of holding up to 7,000 people.
Where are the best BB&T Pavilion seats located?
At the foot of the stage is a General Admission standing room area. Behind that is Section 102 in the center orchestra, offering the best seating, with Sections 101 and 103 immediately flanking them. In addition, there are several boxes in the rear of the orchestra and front of the mezzanine offering box seats with unobstructed views of the stage.
Is the BB&T Pavilion accessible by public transportation?
There are several ways to get to the BB&T Pavilion using public transportation. Between May and September, you can take the RiverLink Ferry from Penn's Landing in Philadelphia. Any time of the year, you can pick up a PATCO train from stations throughout Center City in Philadelphia as well as South Jersey and take it to Broadway Station. From there, you can either hop on NJ Transit's RiverLINE underground or walk three blocks to the waterfront. You can also pick up the RiverLINE directly from other spots starting in Trenton.
Is there on-site parking?
For all BB&T Pavilion events, there is a parking lot on-site. In addition, there are other lots near the facility all along the Camden Waterfront. Rates are $30 per vehicle.
Can you tell me about the food and drink offerings?
There are a wide range of food and beverage concession stands located throughout the BB&T Pavilion. For food, guests can purchase hot dogs, cheeseburgers, pretzels, nachos, popcorn and candy. For beverages, guests can buy bottled water, Red Bull and fountain sodas.
Should I call a sitter, or can I bring the young ones along?
Children under two years of age are welcome to attend BB&T Pavilion events with a parent for free, provided they sit on the parent's lap. For family shows, all children older than one year of age must have their own ticket.
