Classical BRIT Award winners
Schoolfriends Ollie Baines, Stephen Bowman, Jules Knight and Dominic Tighe decided to form a vocal group after reuniting via Facebook in 2007. After signing to the Universal Classics and Jazz label, they enjoyed instant success with their debut album. The eponymous LP not only peaked at number one on the UK Classical Album Chart, but it was also later crowned Album of the Year at the Classical BRIT Awards. 2008 sophomore "And So It Goes" and 2009's "Together" continued their success, with the latter recorded with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. That same year, Tighe left to pursue an acting career and was replaced by Humphrey Berney as the group performed across USA and China for the first time. In 2013, the group released "The OPM Album EP" and were reduced to a trio when Knight joined the cast of medical drama "Holby City". Their fourth studio effort, "A Classic Christmas", hit the shelves in 2015, while three years later, the group worked with the Military Wives Choir and the Central Band of the RAF on "The Anniversary Album". Performers for The Queen
Blake are no strangers to big events, having showcased their impressive vocal harmonies in front of the Prince and Princess of Monaco in 2011, the Queen at the 2012 Bomber Memorial and at Wembley Stadium for the 2013 Rugby League Challenge Cup final. They have also performed hundreds of headlining shows across the world, including a 20-date tour in the Philippines and a month-long trek across Scandinavia. Fans should expect to hear the trio make effortless work of their most popular classical crossover cover versions, including pop songs such as Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars", The Eagles' "Desperado" and U2's "With or Without You", film soundtrack numbers including "Falling Slowly" from "Once", "Up Where We Belong" from "An Officer and a Gentleman" and "She" from "Notting Hill" and hymns such as "Jerusalem", "Abide With Me" and "I Vow to Thee, My Country".
