Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman Tickets
Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman TicketsA summertime staple for more than two decades, Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman takes place for six consecutive Thursday nights every summer. Featuring bluegrass music from legends and up-and-coming performers alike, the annual concert series draws bluegrass fans from around Tennessee and beyond to the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Each night may feature one or two performers, and the popularity of the event sometimes sells out the 2,362 seat venue.
Honoring the Birth of BluegrassConsidered the birthplace of bluegrass music, it's fitting that the Ryman Auditorium would hold special nights for bluegrass every summer. In 1945, Earl Scruggs performed at the Ryman with Bill Monroe and introduced his three-finger picking style on the banjo, together creating the iconic bluegrass sound. Bill Monroe came to be known as the "Father of Bluegrass" and was one of the first performers to perform at Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman when it began in 1994 after renovations to the Ryman were completed. Alison Krauss joined Bill Monroe as another inaugural performer at the event. The summer concert series is still going strong after more than 20 years and is currently sponsored by Springer Mountain Farm.
