Boise Hawks Tickets
The Boise Hawks minor league baseball team was founded in 1987 and operated for its first three seasons as an independent ball club. It wasn't until 1990 that the team became an affiliate team with the Los Angeles Angels (formerly California Angels) as its parent organization. The newfound affiliation paid immediate dividends, as the Hawks made the postseason in 1990 and went on to win the Northwest League Championship in 1991. The tenure with the Angels was certainly a successful one, as Boise went on to win three consecutive league titles between 1993 and 1995. The Chicago Cubs became the parent organization of the Hawks prior to the 2001 season and the success continued. During their 14-year affiliation with the Cubs, the Hawks won two more Northwest League titles and made six additional playoff appearances. While the Hawks haven't made the postseason since the Colorado Rockies became their parent team in 2015, they look to rebound in 2020. So was Kris Bryant, who won the 2015 NL Rookie of the Year award and was the 2016 NL MVP. Three-time World Series champion John Lackey played for the Hawks. Perhaps the most successful and well-known former Hawk is Josh Donaldson. Memorial Stadium in Boise has been the home of the Hawks since 1989. The 4,500-seat stadium is relatively typical in its seating options. The seats from behind home plate down the third-base line are chair-back seats, and metal bleachers extend down the first baseline. Also down the first baseline is the kids' play area that keeps children occupied while adults focus on the game at hand, making this a great stadium for fans with families. One of the most appealing parts about Memorial Stadium is the location. The park is adjacent to the Western Idaho Fairgrounds and is situated on the banks of the Boise River. What are the big games on the Boise Hawks schedule this season?
Divisional games always have extra significance, but some of the divisional games for the Boise Hawks take on an added layer of intrigue. Not only do the Hawks share a division with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, and the Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate, the Hillsboro Hops, but both squads are affiliated with NL West rivals of the Colorado Rockies.Who is the manager of the Boise Hawks?
