Bolton FC Tickets
After a successful season during which the club secured a return to English football's second tier, there's a quiet optimism among Bolton Wanderers supporters that things may finally be on the up.
Following five years of financial difficulties and seemingly endless squad upheavals, fighting their way out of League One was certainly no mean feat for the Trotters – especially at the first attempt. Just ask another former Premier League side – Sheffield United – who were forced to toil for six years before finally escaping along with Bolton last year.
Bolton's home form has been superb since Phil Parkinson took charge and the team will fancy their chances of upsetting the odds at the Macron this season. Fans will be looking forward to welcoming recent ex-Premier League sides such as Sunderland, Aston Villa and big-spending Middlesbrough, while home games against the likes of Burton, Millwall and Queens Park Rangers will surely prove crucial to Bolton's chances of building on last season's successes.
While the league campaign is the priority, a cup run would generate some much needed extra funds; and with the man who guided fourth-tier Bradford to the 2013 League Cup final at the helm, who would bet against a giant-killing or two? So make sure you're at The Macron to cheer on Phil Parkinson's men by getting your Bolton Wanderers tickets at StubHub today.
Bolton transfers: plenty of movement despite financial constraints
Financial restrictions mean Phil Parkinson was limited to loans and free transfers in this window, but that hasn't stopped him from doing plenty of business.
Andrew Taylor and Adam Le Fondre were signed up to permanent deals following their successful loan spells last season. Left-back Taylor was consistently solid and a crowd favourite, while goal poacher Le Fondre has long been coveted by the Trotters.
Parkinson will be hoping that he can reignite the career of once highly-rated Will Buckley (who joins from Sunderland); the athletic Mark Little and journeyman forward Aaron Wilbraham both join from Bristol City; and pacy winger Sammi Ameobi could prove a shrewd signing after his release from Newcastle. 20-year-old striker Adam Armstrong also joins on loan from Newcastle, while fellow loan signings Reece Burke (from West Ham) and Antonee Robinson (Everton) are both highly regarded by their parent clubs.
Meanwhile, the impressive Jem Karacan and industrious 10-goal striker Gary Madine both signed new deals, much to the delight of supporters. If both players can stay fit and play regularly, they're likely to make an impression on the division.
