About the Team
The Boston Breakers are well known in the NWSL for having some of the most ravenous fans in the league and the team never fails to put on a show. Boston Breakers National Women's Soccer League
The National Women's Soccer League is the premiere women's soccer league in the United States which played its inaugural season in 2013. It consists of nine teams, four of which were part of Women's Professional Soccer which was the top women's soccer league in the United States before it disbanded in 2012. The nine teams are the Boston Breakers, the Chicago Red Stars, FC Kansas City, Portland Thorns FC, Seattle Reign FC, Sky Blue FC, the Washington Spirit, and the Western New York Flash. The league began with eight teams and the Houston Dash joined as an expansion team for the start of the 20145 season. The games are typically broadcast on YouTube or on the teams' websites with the Boston Breakers being the only team to have charged to watch games online during the 2013 season.

The Boston Breakers played their first NWSL game against the FC Gold Pride in 2009 in Santa Clara, California which they lost 2-1. The Breakers were also awarded the first overall pick in the 2009 draft which they used to select superstar Amy Rodriguez.
