More about Boudin, Bourbon and Beer
The event is the first night of a fundraising weekend for the Emeril Lagasse foundation. The inaugural event began in 2010 and is Chef Emeril Lagasse's main event for his namesake foundation. All proceeds from the event benefit the foundation, which aims to provide youth with culinary and arts education. The annual outdoor event features Louisiana-style food, music and drinks. The event hosts dozens of top-rated chefs as well as top-shelf drinks and entertainment.
The Boudin, Bourbon and Beer experience
The event is held outdoors in New Orleans' Champions Square. With the number growing every year, it features over 70 top-rated chefs, including Lagasse himself, as well as co-chairs of the foundation Guy Fieri, Stephen Stryjewski and Donald Link. The chefs will present their own spin on a Cajun favorite: Boudin, a type of sausage. The chefs will interact with guests while they are cooking.
Not only does the event include tons of food, but there is plenty of beer and bourbon for attendees as well. Throughout the night, guests can stop at different open bars to get a taste of the local craft beers, spirits and wine. You can try a taste of the local Abita Beer, made from Louisiana-grown ingredients, or a sip of Buffalo Trace Whiskey, both of which have sponsored the event.
In addition to all the food and alcohol, there is entertainment throughout the night. There is a lineup of musicians, including bands like Railroad Earth. There is also a premium cigar-tasting tent and a silent auction.
Boudin, Bourbon and Beer schedule
Since it began in 2010, the event occurs in November in New Orleans. The menu and entertainment lineup is released in September.
