The 2018-19 season was a winning one for the Brown Bears. The team had an overall record of 20 wins and 12 losses; this was the first time in the program’s history that the Bears won 20 games. They also achieved their first postseason win against the UAB Blazers in the College Basketball Invitational. Their season ended on a loss to the Loyola Marymount Lions on March 25, 2019.

A former standout basketball player for Brown University, Mike Martin was named head coach of the Brown Bears on June 1, 2012. He is the 31st head coach for the Bears and became the fourth-youngest head men’s basketball coach in Division I when his first season began in 2012-13.
