Carrington Pavilion Tickets — About the Venue

The current amphitheatre at Carrington Pavillion was formerly used as a train station depot and rail yard back in the 1800s. The city of Danville bought the property in the late 1970s for the purpose of putting together a public park and a place for concerts. The first event here was called the World Tobacco Auctioneering Championship, which is the reason it was called Auctioneer's Park for most of its time in business. The maximum capacity in the seats is a little over 1,180, and approximately 5,000 more can be seated on the lawn.
