While three DJs might not seem like the foundation of a band, Jean Paul Makhlouf, Alex Makhlouf and Samuel Frisch have made it work. The trio creates and mixes music while working with popular vocalists such as John Rzeznik of Goo Goo Dolls, Bebe Rexha, B.o.B, Neon Hitch, Nelly, Frit, and Pink. The recipe has resulted in over a dozen songs that have charted on the US Billboard Dance/Electronic Songs chart and three Top 20 singles. To date, Blood, Sweat & 3 Years is the group's highest charting album thanks to the single "Take Me Home," which featured Bebe Rexha. The song was certified platinum by the RIAA and ARIA and also received certification in the UK and Canada.
Since 2008, the Makhloufs and Frisch have been creating music together under the name Cash Cash. The trio's first EP reached No. 24 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, and Cash Cash and toured with artists such as Tyga before releasing the group's first album, Take It to the Floor, before the end of the year. The following year, lucky fans got to see Cash Cash perform at various Hot Topic stores. A steady stream of albums and singles followed, and the group started receiving media hype in 2012. Following a record label switch, Cash Cash released "Take Me Home" to cement the band in the musical zeitgeist. While that single was from the band's last full-length album, Cash Cash has been busy releasing singles in the years since. When not making their own music, the band members have written, produced, mixed and remixed songs for everyone from Cobra Starship and Katy Perry to Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Britney Spears. Cash Cash is a staple on the dance circuit even when the songs are performed by other artists.

What is a Cash Cash concert like?
Expect EDM and dance beats as well as the crowds that love them. Because the band members mix beats in real time, the results can be unique to every show. Cash Cash may also play recordings of its songs that feature other artists, but the band does not often play live shows with the vocalists who were featured on the tracks. While the DJs focus on mixing music during concerts, they do interact with the crowds. Just don't expect them to step out from behind the DJ booth.Back to Top
